A Game On Novel
by Parker Kincade
Genre: Contemporary
Sports Romance
Tyler Brady earned his reputation as the bad
boy of baseball the old-fashioned way: by playing hard—on and off the field.
After suffering a shoulder injury, he faces his first summer off in twenty
years. Between the endless physical therapy sessions and missing the season,
Tyler’s patience is about to blow.
After suffering a devastating breakup,
Gabriella Marano is ready to play the field. Who better to reacquaint her with
the pleasures of sex than a devastatingly handsome ball player? Tyler is well
equipped to give her what she needs: a little harmless fun.
As their passion soars, Tyler realizes the
woman who fires his blood holds his future in the palm of her hands.
How often do you actually still get to read
for pleasure?
Stephen King once said—and I’m paraphrasing here—to be a good writer,
you have to be a good reader. I believe this to be true. I make a point to read
for pleasure every day. Depending on my own deadline, it might be for just a
few minutes with my morning coffee, or it could be for a few lazy hours on a
Sunday afternoon. It helps me to stay connected to what I love about being a
writer—the stories we create.

I’ve been a licensed massage therapist for the last twelve years. I
specialize in chronic pain conditions, and sports therapy. I keep a small
client list these days, but I love the work. If I weren’t writing full time,
I’d devote more time to my practice.
What 3 books have you recently read that you would recommend?

One of my favorite books of late is Hard Time by Cara McKenna. I re-read
it recently, so that counts, right? Cara has such a unique voice. Raw and
gritty and real. I love her work.
30 Days by Christine d’Abo was really good. I had never read Christine’s
work before, but enjoyed this book enough to pick up a few more of her titles
(and am looking forward to the sequel to 30 Days).
The Shadows by JR Ward was excellent. This book has taken a lot of flack
about whether it should be considered a romance or not. Personally, that
doesn’t matter to me with this series. I’m completely hooked on characters and the
world she’s created with the Black Dagger Brotherhood, not necessarily the
romance therein. This book made me chuckle, tore my heart out, pissed me off,
and basically left me an emotional mess by the end. Any writer that can invoke
that kind of emotional response deserves to be applauded.
