Ribbon Ridge # 1
By: Darcy Burke
Releasing February 17th, 2015

Avon Impulse

From USA Today bestselling author Darcy Burke comes a sexy and emotional family saga about seven siblings who reunite in a small Oregon town to fulfill their brother's dying wish ... and find love in unexpected places.

Fed up with her self-imposed single life, successful event planner Sara Archer heads to a bar for a night of dancing … and bumps into Dylan Wescott, the high school crush she hasn’t seen in years. A little harmless flirting leads to a hot, completely uncharacteristic one-night stand; but when she wakes up alone, Sara knows her life is too complicated for a relationship and there can’t be a repeat.

Dylan, a divorced, ex-military construction contractor, limits himself to casual flings—his failed marriage proves he’s better off alone anyway—but he can’t stop dreaming about Sara. And when his firm is hired to oversee the renovation project run by the Archer siblings, Dylan and Sara are unable to resist their explosive chemistry.

But when their secret affair grows beyond “friends with benefits” and neither is willing to admit they want more, family drama and emotional scars may ruin their chance at a love they believed was only in their dreams.

Ribbon Ridge Wikipedia!

Thank you for having me today! An author friend of mine was going to do a Wikipedia page for a new series she launched, and I thought that would be a really fun thing to do for Archer Enterprises, which is the family-owned and run business in my Ribbon Ridge series. The business handles real estate (which it has done for generations), but also owns a chain of brewpubs in the northern Willamette Valley/Portland area.

Once I started looking at Wikipedia pages and the amount of information I’d have to compile . . . my eyes glazed over! I might do it some day, but for now, you get what information I did compile right here!

Archer Enterprises is owned by the Archer family and based in Ribbon Ridge. Its corporate officers are:

-Robert Archer, CEO and president
-Derek Sumner, CFO and treasurer
-Hayden Archer, COO and secretary
-Wyatt Bishop, vice president of Archer Real Estate
-Greta Murphy, vice president of Archer Breweries

The Archers own nine brewpubs:

-The Arch and Vine in Ribbon Ridge, their flagship pub.
-The Arch and Tap in McMinnville, a small city in the same county as Ribbon Ridge.
-The Arch and Willow in Tualatin, a suburb of Portland
-The Arch and Pine in southwest Portland
-The Arch and Barrel in Beaverton, a suburb of Portland
-The Arch and Trail in Oregon City, a suburb of Portland
-The Arch and Star, in Hillsboro, a suburb of Portland
-The Arch and Pearl in northwest Portland
-The Arch and Hood in Sherwood, a suburb of Portland

Archer Enterprises sponsors the annual Ribbon Ridge Oktoberfest, held the first weekend in October in the city center park. The event runs Thursday through Sunday and features Archer beers, food vendors, and various arts and crafts vendors, as well as a few wineries for those seeking a beer alternative. The signature beer served only at this event is Nocktoberfest, a rich, dark amber.

Rob Archer is the head brewmaster and approves all creations at the other brewpubs. However, very few beers crafted by someone other than him have gone on to become Archer beers.

Well, that’s about it for my Wikipedia-page-that-wasn’t! What other sort of information would you like to see?

Darcy Burke is the USA Today bestselling author of hot, action-packed historical and sexy, emotional contemporary romance. Darcy wrote her first book at age 11, a happily-ever-after about a swan addicted to magic and the female swan who loved him, with exceedingly poor illustrations.
A native Oregonian, Darcy lives on the edge of wine country with her guitar-strumming husband, their two hilarious kids-who each seem to have inherited the writing gene in some form-and two Bengal cats. In her "spare" time Darcy is a serial volunteer enrolled in a 12-step program where one learns to say "no," but she keeps having to start over. Her happy places are Disneyland and Labor Day weekend at the Gorge.
