Love is a Wildfire
Love in the Vineyards #4
Kate Kisset
Genre: Contemporary Romance

This small-town romance series is set in a charming community where everyone knows each other. Although each book is a complete standalone, this is one, large saga where families and close friends are connected and reappear throughout the series. (You do not have to read the other books in the series to love this one. Each book in the series centers around a different couple.)

LOVE IS A WILDFIRE: Love in the Vineyards book #4 is a stand alone second-chance romance.

Playboy-vintner Michael Santino’s world is about to go up in flames. The largest wildfire in California history is racing straight for his precious vineyards. But the fire isn’t what’s making him hot and bothered— it’s Shae.

The beautiful firefighter he’s never forgotten is on the scene, re-igniting sparks and making it impossible for him to think straight. Now he can’t remember why he broke up with her.

Firefighter extraordinaire Shae Hayes is determined to evacuate Santino Winery. Strong and proud, from a long line of heroes, she’s not taking no for answer—even if it is from Napa Valley’s own Mr. Charming. The devastatingly handsome sweet- talker is the only man who turns her insides to jelly.

When the wind changes and Engine 6 is stationed at Santino Winery, Shae and Michael begin to melt in close quarters, and their chemistry ignites.

Is it the firestorm outside or the flames smoldering in their hearts going up in flames?

They’ll soon have to decide if their LOVE IS A WILDFIRE.

“Yum. Ohhh…” Shae didn’t mean to moan out loud, but the wine tasted so good. She laughed and took another sip.

“Stop teasing me like that.” Michael bumped her with his arm. “On second thought,” he came close to her ear, “have another sip. I want to hear you moan again.”

Her eyes shot open so wide her forehead wrinkles hit her hairline, and she almost spit out the wine.

Shae put her glass down and knocked his thigh with hers, hoping to get him to quit it. Michael’s mischievous grin was in full view of everyone at the table just as Tone-Man, Adler, and Graves strolled in. The last thing she needed was guff from her crew about Michael.

Michael grabbed her thigh under the table.

“What are you doing?” She halfheartedly brushed his hand away.

He squeezed again. “Do you want me to stop?”

“No—I mean, yes.”

“Not cool,” he said, keeping his hand on her thigh, but seeming ready to move it any second. “Don’t you know by now it’s either yes or no? No. I mean, yes isn’t allowed.”

“Of course I know that. I work in a male-dominated profession. We don’t mess around with that kind of thing.” Why did he have to pin her down?

“So, is it yes or no? Yes, you like the way I touch you,” his fingers traced deliciously up her thigh, “and you want me to continue? Or, no, you don’t like the way I touch you, and want me to stop. Which is it?”

“It isn’t that cut and dried, Michael, and you know it,” she said, slowly coming undone by his fingertips drawing a line down the sensitive skin on the inside of her left thigh. “Yes. I like the way it feels, No, I don’t like that you know I like the way it feels.”
