HOT ON ICE:
Good Reads, Great Cause
By Misty D.
Waters
I’m
the type of girl who, when asked to write a book, has only one answer: YES.
When told it has to be a romance: why are we still talking? YES. Then, as if I
need more incentive, told that we’re giving proceeds to Homes for our Troops? Shut up
and take my money.
This
was not a hard choice. Deciding what to feed my kids for dinner? That’s hard.
Drudging to the day job every day? That’s hard. Giving Back to our Heroes? Not
hard. They deserve all our support for eternity.
Going
on this journey with this group of girls has been amazing and exhausting and
eye-opening. I have seen hot man inspiration and scenes that puts my
dirty-dirty imagination to shame. One thing’s for sure. This anthology leaves nothing
out. And let’s be honest. Leaving even one thing out is a sin.
What’s
my contribution, you ask? CHECKING YES is my first ever contemporary romance,
and inspired on a moment in my life I wish I could change. My elementary school
sweetheart walked back into my life after a decade, recognized me across a crowded
restaurant, and asked me out. In my nerves, looking up at this hot southern MAN, I gave him part my number and part
my mom’s. *face palm* Long story short, he disappeared for another decade and a
half, lives half the country away, and—sigh—is
married.
While
Cooper and Savannah have a much more involved history in CHECKING YES, I love
the idea of childhood sweethearts reconnecting…under the pressure of family drama…and
media attention…and, and, and…hot Georgia nights.

The New Orleans Cajun Rage professional hockey
team just won the Cup. No one thought they’d do it. They were a team of shoulda
beens, never coulda beens and a star or two. They’d only been in the Crescent
City for three years before this year’s Cinderella run that had them skating
off the ice with the championship. Over the following summer, each player gets
to keep the Cup for a day. Nobody knows why, but whoever has the Cup falls in
love. USA Today bestsellers Robin
Covington, Desiree Holt, Kimberly Kincaid, Nana Malone, and Virginia Nelson, Publisher’s Weekly bestseller Angi
Morgan, along with Xio Axelrod, Christi Barth, Andie J. Christopher, Avery
Flynn, Kim Golden, Lena Hart, Robin Kaye, Katie Kenyhercz, Heather Long, Kate
Meader, Susan Scott Shelley, and Misty D. Waters bring you 18 romances with
smoking hot heroes—both on and off the ice.
