Midnight Shift by Renee George - Review

Can two alpha wolf shifters love Benie enough to put their differences aside to save her?

When Other Worlder monsters start hunting slayer Benoica "Benie" Dilian, she enlists the sexy genius Ian Arent and the hot telepathic werewolf Trace Calder to help find out who is trying to kill Benie--and why.

But as the investigation takes them deep into the Other Worlder community, Benie discovers a dark truth that may well destroy her. Only the love of the two very different men can help her survive and accept her ultimate destiny.

What an incredible world with a variety of creatures! I can't begin to understand the imagination required to create a world where there are so many different types of creatures, known as other worlders. I was sucked in by the action, mystery and of course, the steamy scenes between Benie, Ian and Trace. Benie is great - she knows what she wants and goes after it. She's tough, but with a heart of gold. Ian is a genius and incredible cute, he will do anything for Benie. Trace is mysterious and sexy, and is drawn to Benie as soon as they meet. There relationship is complicated and hard, and there were a couple of time that it seemed that they wouldn't make it. Luckily their bond is strong and they use that to pull through. Even though the story line is a bit serious, there is a bit of humor that helps offset it. The supporting characters are great and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
4.5 stars

I received an ARC for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

Multi-published, bestselling author Renee George has been a factory worker, an army medic, a nurse, a website designer, a small press editor, an artist, and a teacher, but writing stories about sexy alpha men is the BEST job she's ever had. When she turned thirty, she went back to college and earned her BA in creative writing. She has been married to the love of her life, a wonderful man who supports in every way, for over half her life (and that is a VERY long time!). She happily lives in a small, Midwest town with her husband, two needy dogs and a very independent cat.
